Where every number comes from
PitchProphet holds no proprietary data. Every input is either public, derived from public data, or a calibrated constant maintained in this repository. This page is the complete list.

Source policy
- We do not scrape sportsbooks and we do not publish or imply a betting line. The model is compared against its own projection, never against a market price.
- Where a live sample is too small to be informative, the calibrated baseline is used and the projection is labelled with which inputs it ran on.
- Cached inputs carry an age. When a cache is stale beyond its freshness window, the model falls back rather than using it silently.
- No paid, exclusive or licensed data feeds are used, so nothing here depends on a contract we could lose.
Freshness and degradation
Live rates and opponent splits are cached for one hour at the edge and refreshed by a daily job. If that job fails, pages continue to render from the last good cache and the in-app status line reports the age of the data rather than claiming it is live. If the MLB Stats API is unavailable, the slate reports the failure instead of rendering an empty schedule as though no games were scheduled.
