What PitchProphet is

PitchProphet is a free statistical modeling and entertainment tool that projects four MLB pitcher metrics — strikeouts, outs/innings, walks and earned runs — and then grades its own projections against real box scores in public. By using the site you agree to these terms.

No betting, financial or professional advice

Projections are statistical estimates produced by a model. They are not predictions of fact, not guarantees, and not betting, investment, financial or professional advice. PitchProphet does not accept wagers, facilitate wagering, or process any payment. Nothing here is an offer or solicitation to gamble.

Any decision you make on the basis of this site is yours alone. Baseball outcomes are uncertain and past model accuracy does not predict future accuracy.

Accuracy and availability

The site depends on third-party data (the MLB Stats API and public weather data) that can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Where a starter cannot be matched to a verified profile, the engine substitutes league-average inputs and labels that projection as a baseline fallback — such projections are excluded from Prophet Locks. We publish our full graded record, including misses, but we make no warranty of accuracy, completeness or availability, and the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Acceptable use

Don't use the site unlawfully; don't scrape it in a way that degrades it for others or attempt to overwhelm, probe or circumvent its infrastructure; don't misrepresent its output as a guaranteed result or as the advice of a licensed professional. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

Intellectual property

The projection engine, calibration methodology, page copy and design are ours. Underlying baseball statistics are the property of their respective sources (including MLB Advanced Media) and are used here for informational and analytical purposes; PitchProphet is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Major League Baseball or any team.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PitchProphet is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any gambling losses, arising out of your use of the site.

Responsible use
